What is the installation charges for Alliance Broadband?
There are two types of cables in this broadband system 1. Cat5 or Cat6 network cable 2. Optical Fiber Cable
Cat cable is low in pricing and supports up to 100 Mbps bandwidth and the optical fiber is high in pricing and supports up to 1GBps bandwidth Speed. In my area, the cat5 cable installation charge is around 1500 + 1st-month package plan. The optical fiber cable plan is around 2500-3500 (depends on your location) + 1st-month package plan. This installation charge totally depends on the optic fiber cable length. If your neighbor already using the alliance optical fiber cable then your cost should be less than 3000 but in other cases, it should be more than 3k. In this 2021 era, I am pretty sure they will provide you an optical fiber connection if you live in an urban area. Also if you own an inverter go for the optical fiber because your internet connection is not interrupted during load-shedding. Plus If you want to upgrade your cable from cat5 to the optical fiber you can’t get any discount as an existing customer, the upgradation amount should be the same as the installation charge.
Bonus Tips: Don’t buy a router from the cable provider, most of the time they give you a cheap router so buy a good one from an offline market or online website before the installation.
After installation, make sure to ask the installation guy to enable the auto-login feature. Without autologin, you have to manually put your user id and password into the login page whenever you face load-shedding. You/they have to mail [email protected] You have to write your name, mobile no, user id, and client id in the details menu(subject- enable auto login) and send them. It takes up to 24 hours. Also every time you change your router you have to manually call customer care and said this problem is “mac mismatch”. They ask for your details and solve this issue within few minutes.
Alliance Broadband Plans:


Although they provide OTT subscriptions with their plans, I think there are a few things they could improve. Jiofiber and airtel XStream already giving free calling + free tv channels with their packages but alliance only giving ott subscription and nothing more. The minimum unlimited package plan is 472(including GST). You get truly unlimited data. No data capping or speed limit decrease. If you are a heavy internet user or download tons of things from the internet then I think this is the best broadband for you. Both Jio and Airtel fiber decrease your internet speed after you use 3.3 TB of data in a month. I think 3.3 TB data is more than enough for most of the users.
Alliance Broadband Customer Service:
I think the best part of this service is customer care. Every time I face an issue with my internet, imminently I call Customer care and they resolve the issue within few minutes or provide a local alliance operator for the service. I am super satisfied with the customer care service. They also callback after 2 or 3 hours for your feedback. But I think there are few things that should be improved. Every time I call the customer care number, It says busy and calls back after few times. So I calls around 5-10 times to connect their helpline number. It feels really frustrating to call multiple times. Customer Care No 18001200300.
How to Recharge Alliance Broadband Bill?
A few months ago, you can recharge your broadband packages through Paytm or the alliance portal. Nowadays, you can recharge your bill through any platform like gpay,phonepe,freecharge, amazon pay, and many more. Also, you can recharge for more than 1 month with multiple recharges. No data/pack date overlapping issue. For example, if I recharge the 472 plan 2 times it will automatically extend my pack duration till 2 months. The 2nd pack is automatically renewed when the 1st pack ends. Just type your client Id and pay the plan and you are ready to download. Also if you change your package plan you cant do it from the payment app. For example, if you are already using a 472 plan and want to upgrade 590 plan, you cant do it through the payment app.
How to Change Alliance Broadband Plan?
Just go to this site https://pay2abs.alliancebroadband.in/. Fill in the client id and captcha and click next. Select package upgrade. Select your plan and click upgrade. Wait for 5-10 minutes. The new plan will definitely show in your payment app.
Good Things About Alliance Broadband:
- Widely available. For example , in my area only 2 broadband operator are there Alliance and Wishnet.
- Truly unlimted data, no data capping.
- Good Customer care service
- Ott Subscription
- No ban on Pornographic content or torrent sites.
Bad Things About Alliance Broadband:
- No free calling support
- Bad ping(Not for pro gamers)
- Unstable internet connection (Bad for streamers)
- Rain + Thunder = Internet not working ( 404 error not found)
- No fixed installation charge (totally depends on local operator)
- Bad service from local agent, delayed service time most of the cases,.
- Customer care is says everyone is busy you call is important to us, please call later. (luck matters)
- No Set top box .
- No refund if you loss 1-2 days of internet due to local agent deylayed issue/technical problem.
